How to Choose Invoicing Software for Your Business in Pakistan
How to choose FBR-compliant invoicing software in Pakistan: evaluate PRAL API integration, pre-submission validation, Excel uploads, QR codes, and published PKR pricing.
Why a generic invoicing tool struggles here
Most invoicing products are built around a simple idea of an invoice: who it is for, what was sold, what it costs. That is enough to bill a customer, and it is not enough to file the invoice in Pakistan.
A sales invoice issued by a registered business here carries classification and registration data that a general-purpose tool has no field for. You can work around that for a while with a spreadsheet alongside the software. It stops working the moment the invoice has to be submitted and checked, because then the missing fields are not untidy — they are the reason the submission fails.
What to look for, whoever you buy from
These are worth asking about any product you are considering, including this one.
Registration numbers, not just names
An invoice here identifies both sides by NTN or CNIC, and the buyer's registration type matters as well as the number. Software that treats a customer as a name and an address has already lost the fields that decide whether a submission is accepted.
Province on the invoice
Sales tax in Pakistan is administered provincially as well as federally, so the seller's province, the province a supply originates in and its destination are all part of the record — not optional address decoration.
HS codes and units from a real list
Goods are classified by Harmonized System code, and quantities are counted in units drawn from a fixed list. A free-text field where an HS code should be is a rejection waiting to happen.
Sale type and SRO references
The category a transaction falls into determines how it is taxed, and where a notification sets a special rate or an exemption, the schedule and item serial have to be carried with the line.
PKR, handled exactly
Tax amounts are computed from line values, and floating-point rounding on the way through is how an invoice ends up a rupee out. Amounts should be carried as exact decimals end to end.
Digital invoice submission
For businesses inside the digital invoicing regime, an invoice is not finished when it is printed — it has to be sent for recording, and the response has to be kept. Software that stops at a PDF stops one step early.
Where Bizio Invoicing fits
Bizio Invoicing is built for that list rather than adapted to it. The invoice form is shaped by the fields a submission needs, the reference data comes from FBR's own lists rather than a hand-kept copy, amounts are carried as exact decimals, and an invoice can be checked before it is filed. Submission goes through the PRAL-operated API using your business's own credentials.

It is deliberately narrow. It is not an accounting package, it does not do payroll or ledgers, and it does not file your returns. If you need a full accounting suite, check how invoicing will fit alongside your accounting system. The features page is the honest inventory of what is actually in it.
Cost and getting started
Both published PKR plans — Essential and Premium — include unlimited customers, products and invoices, with monthly or annual billing and a separate one-time integration charge. Premium adds bulk invoice upload from Excel and advanced filters. Multiple business accounts and more specific requirements are discussed as a Custom package. Accounts are set up by our team; contact us to discuss which plan fits.
Every account starts in sandbox mode, so you can put real invoices through the whole process and see exactly what would be filed before anything is filed for real.
One thing software cannot decide
Whether digital invoicing applies to your business, and by when, is set by FBR and has been revised more than once. No software vendor — us included — is the authority on that. The background guide to FBR digital invoicing explains the regime in plain language, but for your own position, check FBR's current notifications or ask your tax consultant.
Bizio Invoicing is an independent software provider. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official service of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) or PRAL.
